Welcome to Mana Medicinals

Anja Robinson is an Herbalist, Traditional Midwife, Functional Nutritionist, INNATE Postpartum Care Provider & Women's Health Educator.

She fell in love with herbal medicine in 2010 after loosing her Mother; the Plants helped her find her way and she has been deep on her healing path ever since. She completed three years of formal Herbalism training with Jon Carlson, Sajah Popham and Matthew Wood, a year of hands on clinical Ayurvedic studies, became a Certified Nutritionist through Bauman College as well as completed the Women’s Function and Integrative Medicine Professional Training Program with Dr. Aviva Romm, MD. She studied Lymphatic Breast Massage with DeAnna Batdorff at the Dhyana Center and specializes in Lymphatic Breast Care and education. She continues to diver deeper into Maternal Health and creating a new paradigm within the birth world and in 2021 became a Certified INNATE Postpartum Care provider with Rachelle Garcia Seliga. She is currently in her second year apprenticing to be a Traditional Midwife and attends births & studies in both the United States and Mexico. She has dedicated her life and work to the understanding of the physiological design of human life, and supporting Women & Families to THRIVE - for the health of our future generations.

Her passion for Women’s health arose out of her deep understanding of how under served and under resourced Women and Mothers are in our dominant culture. Through her own struggles navigating the lack of support and education available to Women in the mainstream health care system, she became determined to create a solution - a framework rooted in science and informed by Spirit. The hands on experience and knowledge she has gained as a practitioner over the last decade helped her to create a sustainable framework for healing that tends to the physical, mental and spiritual -- a truly holistic approach.

She has been in deep relationship with the plant realm and taught for Herbalism Schools such as The Hawthorne Institute, and Herb Pharm, as well as at many Herbal Conferences around the US and is currently core faculty for Banyan Botanical’s Living Ayurveda Internship. Educating and empowering Women through cyclical living, body literacy, health sovereignty and trusting innate intuition is one of her greatest passions.

Through more than a decade of deep exploration, she has woven a tapestry of healing that bridges the scientific with the spiritual, the clinical with the intuitive, the ancient with the modern.

This unique perspective of women's health is steeped in many different traditions- weaving together Ayurveda, Western Herbalism, Functional Nutrition, Traditional Midwifery and Ceremonial teachings.

Food as medicine has been at the center of her healing philosophy from the start.

Her passion for cooking goes back as far as she can remember and food has always been the centerpiece of gathering loved ones together in her life. This is one of the most profound gifts she received from her mother, who will always be one of her greatest inspirations.

When she is not working you will find her in her tending her garden, cooking and sharing meals with friends, singing, making herbal medicines and spending time in nature with her dogs. She lives amongst the wild beauty of Southern Oregon as well as the majestic Pacific coastline of Oaxaca, Mexico.

Anja has the deepest gratitude for all of her teachers and lineages of healing she is a part of as well as those who have initiated her and taught her ceremonial ways of life. Deep bows to the Plant Realm, the Ancestors, the Future Generations, and Creator for blessing her with this beautiful healing path.
